For the first time, the Senate Judiciary Committee has approved a bill that would allow up to 20 grams of marijuana with only civil penalties (no criminal conviction).

New Hampshire is the only state in New England that has no such allowances. If this passes the senate within the next week or so, it will likely pass the house as it is still quite strict in allowances compared to the other 49 states in which many are hopping on the bandwagon of freedom. Legalization with restriction is sure to follow after the 2018 election as some states have already such as Massachusetts and Maine.
